Week 1 Complete!
Week 1 was a very informative introduction to the Energy Institute's Summer school.
We started off this week understanding the history and previous works associated with Greece's Energy Crisis.
We then delved into ethical considerations and started training to prepare us for field work interactions with the local populations.
In conclusion, we ended the week by learning the basics of literature review and discussing how to create credible references for our research paper.
- Bella’s favorite part of the week was interacting with different search engines and understanding the credible ways of researching.
- Izzy enjoyed discovering the ethical dilemmas when discussing field interviews with the local population.
- Bilal's favorite part was understanding the historical context with Greece's reliance on lignite coal mining.
- Noah's favorite part was understanding the different ways of ethically communicating with the local population. He was also interested in understanding the history of Greece.
- Eve enjoyed the history as well, and learning how to correctly research different sources and references.
